Method

  1. Heat oil in large sauté pan over high heat until it begins to shimmer.
  2. Add onions and cook over high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until they turn dark golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and season with salt to taste.
  4. Stored in a covered container in the refrigerator, Caramelized Onions will keep for up to 2 days.
