- Canola oil 1/4 cup
- Onions (diced) 2 large

- Heat oil in large sauté pan over high heat until it begins to shimmer.
- Add onions and cook over high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until they turn dark golden brown.
- Remove from heat and season with salt to taste.
- Stored in a covered container in the refrigerator, Caramelized Onions will keep for up to 2 days.
