Ingredients
  • Drained and sliced pears 2 large cans
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Flour 2 tbsps
  • Vanilla 2 tsps
  • Ground ginger ½ tsp
  • You’ll Need (for the topping):
  • Flour ⅓ cup
  • Brown sugar ¼ cup
  • Cold butter ¼ cup
  • Crushed nilla wafer cookies 12

Method

  1. Mix together the pears, ¼ cup of sugar, 2 tbsps of flour, vanilla and ginger until well combined then spread the mixture in an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. Mix together the flour and brown sugar in a medium bowl and cut in the butter and blend to crumble.
  3. Fold in the crushed Nilla wafers and mix to combine.
  4. Top the pears mixture with the wafers mixture and bake for 35 minutes in a preheated oven to 375°.
