Ingredients
    Stir-Fry:

  • Sherry (port/marsala wine) 2 tbsp
  • Chopped asparagus 1 cup
  • Thinly sliced carrot 1/2 cup
  • Chopped green onion 1 cup
  • Sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup
  • Yellow, red or orange bell pepper 1 cup
  • Canola oil
  • Sauce:

  • Vegetable broth 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch 1 tbsp
  • Agave 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • White vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • Long grain rice

Method

  1. Prepare 2 cups long grain rice according to package directions.
  2. Stir together sauce ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add sherry, and vegetables. Stir constantly 2-3 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  5. Add sauce and stir an additional minute, until sauce thickens.
  6. Serve over rice.
