Ingredients
  • Sliced apples 6 cups
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsps
  • White sugar 1 cup
  • Brown sugar 1 cup
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg 1 tsp
  • salt 1 pinch
  • All purpose flour 1/3 cup
  • Sliced butter half stick
  • Egg 1

Less carb/sugar heavy version of Apple Pie.

Method

  1. Peel and slice apples.
  2. Add 2 tbsps lemon juice, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, pinch of salt, 1/3 cup all purpose flour then mix.
  3. Pile the apples into an unbaked pie crust.
  4. Add half stick of sliced butter then cover it with pie crust, pinch the edges and slightly score the pie crust.
  5. Lightly brush the top of the crust with egg.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
